A great day at the range on Sunday in Springfield [Loami] with 38 shooters but only 3 clean ones!
The Zombies must have gotten the best of us that day…but we enjoyed a mid-day free pizza party, compliments of our Long Nine Cowboy club.

We had a passel of new shooters and folks who had never shot with us before including Nitro Nate [who shot clean!], Moonshine Milonas, Zack Attack, Justice Jim and Cody along with Colonel Mustard who has shot with us once before.
In remembrance of our long-time friend and founding member of the Long Nine Cowboys, we had a moment of silence for Postman, whom we lost exactly a year ago. We were honored to have his wife Claudia [aka Lotta Calamity] and his grandson Christopher [aka J.W.Thompson] to share the day with us.
We welcomed two old friends who hadn’t shot with us for quite some time, Dakota Dode and Dee Mak Jack and who are an asset to any posse.

We also had a number of parents shooting with their “kids” this month:
– August Lee and his son Cody
– Henry Alexander and his son Danjo
– Lt Dan and his son Justice Jim
– Turquoise Tony and his daughter Miss Pistol Whipper
The prize for Beyond the Call of Duty goes to Marley Devereau who trekked all the way into Springfield to bring us more than a dozen pizzas, which were eagerly devoured.
The prize for Cowboy Spirit of the Game certainly goes to Henry Alexander & Danjo who stepped in to avert an ammo crisis that allowed a couple of visiting shooters to stay and shoot when they discovered that they had no rounds. Henry Alexander & Danjo took the bull by the horns and got them what they needed in the calibers they needed. They also offered space on their gun cart to some newer shooters as well. Thank you!
Thanks to our Set Up Crew who worked on Saturday to make the stages pretty for us:
– Don Jorge
– Lemon Drop Kid
– Marshal J.D. Oak
– The Rossiman

News! News! News!
Hope to see you in 2 Weeks OUTDOORS for our November Shoot
Sunday, November 11, 2012
PLEASE BE REGISTERED no later than 9 a.m.
We want to begin shooting at 9:30 a.m.We are shooting on the 2nd Sunday OUTDOORS in November, December, January & February [weather-permitting, of course.] This is an experiment and we plan on shooting 4 Stages and we will shoot straight through before a hot lunch at the club house.
For a myriad of reasons, and based on feedback from shooters, the club officers made the decision NOT to shoot indoors this winter. We will be shooting OUTDOORS on the 2nd Sunday [instead of the 4th] due to scheduling at the Lefthanders Gun Club [our host range].
