We had 28 shooters for our May Memorial Holiday Match on Sunday, May 27, 2012, which included a special Dedication of the Living Memorial to Postman [Greg Cross] who passed away in October.
Several dozen cowboy shooters and family members participated in the Shotgun Salute over the Postman Cherry Trees planted outside the club house at the Lefthanders Gun Club where the Long Nine Cowboys hold our matches. Thanks goes out to Turquoise Tony and Henry Alexander for organizing the tribute and to Lotta Calamity [Claudia Cross] for the wonderful turn-out of 14 family members whom we were pleased to welcome. Following the ceremony, we all enjoyed a hearty grilled lunch prepared by the Lefthanders and eaten in the air-conditioned club house. We hope to have photos to post on the web site.

We also enjoyed the opportunity to participate in the Surprise Revolver Side Match hosted and organized by Don Jorge and Jesse Cain during which participants had 5 chances to split a playing card on edge with the revolver. Yes! We did have people who split it or hit it, including:
* Cotton Mouth Jim
* Turquoise Tony
* Marshal J.D. Oak
* Don Jorge
* Jesse Cain
Thanks to Don Jorge for providing fabulous prizes to our winners.
