Doors open at Noon
Diner at 12:30 p.m. for our Annual Banquet
at MCL Restaurant on Wabash Avenue in Springfield
Everyone is welcome to the Annual Banquet, NOT just club members!!
DOOR PRIZE DRAWINGS for FABULOUS PRIZES!!
We’ll have Awards for all the categories that the club shot this year, recognition for various achievements of club members throughout the year and much more. We hope you’ll come!
Each person takes care of purchasing his/her own lunch from the buffet line. The club will provide beverages [coffee, tea, and soft drinks] and dessert. It’s fun a plenty!
Here’s How It Works:
Find a few things lying around that you think cowboys or cowgirls might like and toss them in a gift bag or box.
Each person brings a “gift” ONLY IF he/she want to participate in the “game”.
We place all gifts on the table, then we count how many are participating.
Each participant draws a number out of the hat and that becomes the order in which they choose the tempting gifts. The person with #1 will choose the first gift and so on down the line. Then the trading begins!
Election Time Again
If you have political aspirations and have always dreamed of being one of the movers and shakers of a cowboy action shooting club, this is your opportunity. There are a couple of positions open on the Board of Directors of the Long Nine Cowboys.
Have an idea for someone “perfect” for the job? Is that person YOU?
We’ll have nominating ballots at the Banquet.
It is is permissible [and even encouraged] to nominate yourself!
New Technology – ACES Scoring System
Don Jorge and Billy the Avenger will be unveiling a new scoring system called ACES [Automated Cowboy Easy Scoring] that they want to have in place for our 2014 Season.
ACES is used at many of the “Big Matches” connected with SASS and was developed by cowboy action shooter Pit Viper and his son, Molasses Kid. They developed ACES as an App that works on iPhones, iPads, Androids and other mobile devices.
